 By creating a killer website, you are essentially attracting a few extra puppets that need your products and will do what you ask them to on your page. If we are honest, we are all puppets controlled by the desires we have. It is your job to be the puppet who can see the strings. See what moves people and shapes people. What causes them to purchase your products and follow the trends your company creates.

Creating a website that promotes your business and sells your products/services must be based on entertainment for your perfect customer.

What is their style? What is would they find funny? What do they follow in entertainment or current events?

In order to relate to them, you must first know what they enjoy. Once you know what they love, you can sell your product with confidence and, most importantly, mutual understanding- fulfilling their needs and giving them what they want. Interests and love of similar things builds their trust in you, and makes it easier for you to convince them to buy your products and promote their favorites to their friends, family, and colleges.

Once you apply their tastes across your web design and social media channels, you have to be sure the fundamentals on your site make sense.

Is it easy to navigate? Does it answer frequently asked questions? Is the contact information easy to find?

The easier it is to navigate on the web or call you directly, the more likely it is that your brand will be trusted. By keeping your information easy to find, you become more tangible to the viewer. A website must be to the point. Tell the viewer who you are, what you do and why, and where to find you. The last thing you want to do is have a complicated page. If anything is vague or confusing, your page will be abandoned for the next competitor.

In addition to the over-all look, feel, and navigation of your site you should include content to keep them hooked and continue building that trust:

  • Including clientele quotes and feedback should be a side addition to your site, but make sure they are genuine, and don’t come off as corny or exaggerated.
  • Each page should have a compelling call to action to convert followers and create a fan base if not a regular customer.
  • Lastly it’s great to promote similar content on your site that refers to blog posts you’ve made in the past or videos that tell about your promotions, events, or products.

It is of utmost importance that your website has a blog post or other content that is continually updated. Keeping the content original and personable is key to attracting readers and returning followers. The new keywords and phrases that you add are also beneficial to SEO, since Google looks for pages with the most recent and relevant content. Remember there is no need to stress about the content you post. Make it fun and relevant, and if you need some ideas borrow from a list or two from online- there are others who can see the strings too.

Most attention you receive will be online- 71% of Internet users today are more likely to purchase from a company they’re following online. Keep in mind 100% of people today are online. Most adults in the U.S. spend 11 hours on digital media everyday. Never without a smartphone, and usually in front of a computer-receiving attention online is one of the biggest assets your company could have.

Catch people where they spend time online. Capture their attention. Predict their moves as you see their strings moving before their reaction follows.
